How to Set up and work with a Split Screen
By Hooty aka Doyle Allen
Learn to use the Split Screen HERE for the movie tutorial
to see it explained in action. I think it is easier to understand but
it is about 5 megs so those on dial up may prefer this tutorial in
text on this page.
This is what a split screen set up looks like
when I work on tut's that allow it.
The PSP screen on one side and the Tutorial on the other side!
Basically what you do is open up your PSP and
1 Make graphics smaller by tapping on the - sign on
your number pad on the right of your keyboard.
(+) to enlarge.
You need them smaller so you can still see
them with the PSP narrowed as is seen in the
capture shot above.
2 Minimize your screen by clicking on the Double Square
icon Left of the X in the upper right of your
screen.
3 You will notice that if you move your cursor to
the very edge of the outside border your cursor
will change to a double arrow.
4 When you see this, left click and drag toward
the center and you can make it smaller or
thinner, taller or shorter!
5 If you need to have it big or normal size just
double click on the top border and zip there you
go.
6 To put it back to the half screen size double
click again and zip, it goes right back like you
had it.
7 Once you have one set up then open up the
other thing that you will be working with and do
it the same way. In this case it might be the
Hooty-tut.
8 You may have to switch sides with the two
programs that you are working with to make
the most of your work area. In other words you
might want your tutorial showing on the left or
fight side of your PSP screen. Which ever way
gives you the most exposure of what you need
to see.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
My Hooty-Tuts are Narrow tuts, which is nice
because you don't have to take up 3/4 or so of
the full screen view to see it all!
When you use other peoples tuts you will
notice that some of them will not work as well
because they make them so wide that they are
really hard to use as a split screen to work
with!
Hope this clears it up! I use this method to
work on so many things.
I know this is a lot of information to throw at
you at one time. Once you understand there is
really not that much to it and is so convenient
and saves you money by not having to print out
everything ie ink, paper and wear and tear on
your poor printer! Stop making mountains of
paper piles around your work area!
After you do it this way about 10 times in a
row I bet you never go back to the stacks of
paper again if you don't have to.
It's what ever you get used to!

Hope you enjoyed this Tutorial. So many
people do not have a clue how to work this way
on their computers!
