NEEDED:

1 A graphic of your own choice

with a lighter color theme.

Like this one:

Your choice of graphic should be

wider than it is in height or it will

be distorted when we use it.

The main focal point of the graphic

should be away from all outer edges.

Put that in your PSP patterns folder.

Performance notes:

1 All settings will remain the same

unless otherwise noted.

2 Be sure you have the supplied

pattern in your PSP pattern folder

before opening you PSP and starting.

Let's Begin !

OPEN PAINT SHOP PRO

 

1  File > Open "your chosen graphic"

 

2  Edit > Copy

 

3  Close the original

 

4  File > Open

"stitchintime_alphabyhooty.psp"

 

5  Window > Duplicate

 

6  Close the original

 

 

7  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

Load from document = Same as the

duplicate that you are working on.

Selection # 1

Replace selection = Checked

Options = Nothing Checked

Load

 

8  Edit > Paste > Paste Into Selection

 

9  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

 

 

Selection # 2

Load

 

10  Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

Settings:

Bevel # 2, Width = 30

Smoothness = 30, Depth = 5

Ambience = 4, Shininess = 0

Color = White, Angle = 315

Intensity = 40, Elevation = 40

 

11  Edit > Repeat Inner Bevel

(Ctrl + Y)

 

 

12  Selections > Invert

 

13  Adjust > Brightness and Contrast >

Brightness/Contrast

Adjust Brightness lighter or darker
to what you find pleasing.
On the one I am working on at this
time I went -40 to make it a little darker
which drew the visual focus to the ellipsed
part of the graphic, but do whatever is
pleasing to your eye.

 

14  Materials Palette

Foreground set to Color #f3efe3

 

Background set to Pattern

Settings:

Angle = 0,  Scale = 100

 

 

15  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

 

 

Selection # 3
Load
 

16  (F) Flood Fill Tool

Settings:

Match mode = None

Sample merged = Checked

Blend Mode = Normal

Opacity = 100

  Right click inside of your selection

to fill it with the pattern.

 

17  Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

 

 

18  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

 

 

Selection # 4

Load

 

19  Left click inside your selection

to fill with the Foreground color.

 

 

20  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

 

 

Selection # 5

Load

 

21  Left click inside of your selection

to fill with your Foreground color.

 

22  Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

Settings:

Vertical and Horizontal both at 1

Opacity = 30, Blur = 1.00

Color = Black

Shadow on new layer = NOT Checked

   OK

 

23  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

 

 

Selection # 6

Load

 

24  Right click inside of your selection

to fill with your pattern.

 

25  Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel

 

26  Selections > Load/Save Selection >

Load Selection From Alpha Channel

Settings:

 

 

Selection # 7

Load

 

27  Left click inside of your selection

to fill with your Foreground color.

 

28  Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

 

29  Selections > Select None

 

 

30  Layers > New Raster Layer

 

31  Add your Watermark

 

32  File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Compression = 25

 

BACKGROUND TILE

 

1  File  > New

Settings:

Width and Height both at 98 pixels

Raster Background

Transparent Checked

   OK

 

2  (F) Flood Fill Tool

Right click and fill with your pattern

 

3  File > Export > JPEG Optimizer

Compression = 25

 

At this size, your tile will automatically

be seamless, since that is the same

size that I made the tile from! lol
