EC PERSPECTIVE MOTION TRAIL

Goal:

 

Note: Most images are shown in a narrow shape

to save room and lessen the saving size so don't

be mislead by this.  This tut is pic heavy for ease

in learning.

and the filter  MuRa's Filter Meister

1 Open a Transparent image: 450x400

 

2 Picture Tube of your choice. Size to fit

on most of the transparent image as

seen below.

 

Note: The next 3 steps are just to center

your tube!

 

3 Ctrl + C  (copy)

 

4 Delete (on keyboard)

 

5 Ctrl + L  (pastes as new layer)

 

6 Layers/Merge Visible

 

7 Effects/Plugins/MuRa Filter Meister/

Perspective Tiling

8 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy 4000/Motion Trail

9 Ctrl + L

(original tube is pasted as a new layer)

 

10 Click on the bottom perspective layer on your layers palette to make it the active layer.

 

11 Shift + H (Adjust/Hue & Saturation/HSL)

Slide the Hue Slider a little at a time to the

left or right until you see a color that pleases

you and compliments your graphic and makes 

the top layer stand out.

Feel free to also play with the Sat and lightness

settings as well. If you get lost just set them

back to zero.

 

12 Click back on the top layer on your layers

palette to make it the active layer now.

 

13 Effects/Geometric effects/Spherize

The settings I used for this tut are shown.

Feel free to try other settings since tubes

come in all kinds of shapes.

The goal is to make the top layer tube smaller

so more of the tiling in the background will show.

 

14 M =  (Mover Tool) Move your top layer

tube to the bottom center.

 

15 Effects/ Plugins/EyeCandy/Shadow Lab 

Setting: Long Perspective Shadow

Settings shown below:

 

16 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy/Bevel Boss

Note: These suggested settings may need to be 

altered for best results depending on the graphic

that you use.

Setting=Inner Bevel

Click on lighting and use these settings:

Do not click OK just yet!!!!!!!!!

 

17 Click back on Basic and use these settings:

 

 

Now we need a solid color background to set

these 2 layers on top of.

 

18Layers/New Raster Layer

 

19 Eye Dropper Tool:  Pick a dominant color  from your perspective tile layer and

F = (flood tool) left click on the

new raster layer to flood it.

 

20 Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom

 

21 Image/Add Borders = 5 Symmetric checked

 

22 Magic Wand/ Select the new border.

 

23 F = (Flood Tool) Flood with the same

color as you used on your background layer.

 

24 Effects/3D effects/Inner Bevel:

Settings shown below:

 

25 Ctrl + Shift + i  (invert selection) 

 

26 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy/Cutout  Matt cut

Settings shown:

 

27 Repeat the cutout but change the Direction

to 135........ all other settings will be the same.

 

28 Image/Add Borders = 15 symmetric checked.

 

29 Magic Wand: Select new border

 

30 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy/Wood    Knots

Note: select the same color as your background

color for the Pulp Color!!!!!!!!!

Settings shown:

 

31 Image/Add Borders = 5 Symmetric checked

 

32 Magic Wand/ Select the new border.

 

33 F = (Flood Tool) Flood with the same color as you used on your background layer.

 

34 Effects/3D effects/Inner Bevel:

Same settings as before.

 

35 Image/Add Borders = 25 symmetric checked

 

36 Magic Wand: Select new border

 

37 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy/Wood    Knots

Note: select the same color as your background

color for the Pulp Color!!!!!!!!!

Use the same settings as before.

 

38 Effects/Plugings/EyeCandy/Glass    Tubing

Settings shown:

 

39 Ctrl + Shift + i  (invert selection)

 

40 Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy/Bevel Boss

Setting=Inner Bevel

Use same settings as before

 

41 Image/Add Borders = 5 symmetric checked

 

42 Magic Wand/ Select the new border.

 

43 F = (Flood Tool) Flood with the same color as you used on your background layer.

 

44 Effects/3D effects/Inner Bevel:

Same settings as before!

 

45 Ctrl + D   (deselect)

 

46 Resize if needed, Add your watermark and

save as a JPEG!

where to find your EyeCandy plugin don't cha?

Did you get tired of seeing ...use same settings

as before? Luckily they stay the same if you see

last used on the settings box that opens that

will let you know that they haven't changed.

 BONUS#1: SB icon method for this

tut style.

 

1 Edit/Copy your framed image

 

2 Open a new 300x300 transparent image.

 

3 Ctrl + A  (selects all)

 

4 Ctrl + Shift + L   (paste into selection)

 

5 Ctrl + D  (de-select)

 

6 Effects/Plugins/MuRa Filter Meister/

Perspective Tiling (same settings as before)

 

7 Effects/Plugins/Simple/QuickTile

 

8 Lasso Tool: Point to Point setting

Select a portion that shows the image decently.

 

9 Ctrl + C (copy)

Edit/Paste as new Image

 

10 Effects/3D effects/Inner bevel

Same settings as used in this tut.

 

11 Resize to 100 pixels width

 

12. Adjust/Contrast Brightness to your liking.

 

13 Save as a partial transparent gif.!

 

 I space these 10 lines apart in Letter

Creator until I have 3 or 4 on the left and right.

Bonus# 2!!!!!! Making the BG tile

 

1 Go back to the 300x300 perspective tiling &

Ctrl + D   (deselect)

 

2 Layers/Add new raster Layer

 

3 F = Flood Tool: Select the color that you used

for your background.

 

4 Left click on the same colored square in the

Layers Palette and change the color to the same

but really really dark but not quite black.

 

5 Left click on the new raster layer and fill with

the darker shade.

 

6 Slide the opacity slide back to about 75% on

the layer you just filled. You should be able to

slightly see what is underneath.

 

7 Layers/Merge All

 

8 Effects/Plugins/FM Tools/Blend Emboss

Default settings.

 

9 Save as a JPEG and tile when you put it in

Letter Creator!
