Needed: PSP and EyeCandy 4000 http://www.alienskin.com/ec4k/ec4000_main.html and a Lighter Colored graphic of your choosing! Graphics with a dark edge will not show the glass border very nicely on this tut!
Preparation: B4 we start ::::::: Open , duplicate your graphic, resize if needed to the finished size that you want to end up with. We will not be adding to the size of what you start with! Close out your original and let’s get started!
Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy/Glass .. Setting GlassTubing Settings shown but change the Bevel Width to 30!
Repeat but change the Bevel Width to 20!
Repeat but change the Bevel Width to 10!
Layers/Duplicate
Text Tool: Create as floating selected. Have solid color selected and a contrasting color picked on your color palette. I’m gonna show you how to find the center of you graphic in a sneaky way! LOL Type an X somewhere in the center. Apply!
Right click and select cut!
Ctrl + L (paste as new layer) Your X will reappear in the dead center of your graphic! Cool huh!
Selection Tool: Pick the Ellipse shape and click on your X and drag your shape so it extends basically to the middle border all around the glass frame. Just come as close as you can.
Layers/Delete (This removes your transparent layer) Your 2nd layer should be the one that is active now.
Effects/Plugins/EyeCandy .. Setting GlassTubing Same as before..Bevel Width at 10!
Selections/Modify/Contract = 10
Delete (on your keyboard)
Effects/EyeCandy/ Cutout =Settings Matt Cut Settings shown:
Repeat the same Cutout again but change the direction to 135
Click on the layer palette and make the background layer active. It will turn blue on the palette.
Effects/Plugin/EyeCandy/Weave (Ellipse still selected) Settings shown:
Ctrl + D (deselect)
Click on your 2nd Layer on your Layers Palette to make it the active layer.
Selection Tool: Change shape to Rectangle and outline the inner edge of the square frame. We are going to get rid of the overlapping part of the ellipse shape.
Ctrl + Shift + i (Invert selection)
Delete ( on your keyboard!)
Ctrl + D (deselect)
Layers / Merge All
That is it! Pretty cool huh! Don’t forget to Resize & watermark your creation and save as a Jpeg... I usually save at 25% optimization. Approved by the HootyTutTestersGroup!
