This was written using Paint Shop Pro 9
Needed:
I used PSP 10. I believe 8 and 9 could be used.
(a)My Gradient> aFore-Back-Special1byHooty
Unzip and put in your Gradients folder
(b) A  tube of your choice.

Performance notes:
Once the selection is made it stays
active for most of this tutorial.
  Settings remain the same unless
changes are noted.

OPEN YOUR PSP

1  File > Open
Open your tube

2  (E) Dropper Tool
Select a light shade for your foreground color,
and the same shade but a little darker for
your background color which will be the
color of your stripes.
Keep in mind that you want your colors
to be text friendly with the same color
text on both colors and should be compatible
with the tube that you are going to use.
When in doubt picking your shades,
make them very light colors. They will
appear to darken as you complete the tutorial.

3  Material Palette
Change your Foreground to Gradient
Settings:
aFore-Back-Special1byHooty gradient

Blend mode: Normal, Opacity = 100
Flood fill your transparent image with
your Foreground Gradient

9  Layers > New Raster Layer

10  Effects > Artistic Effects >
Balls and Bubbles
Settings:
Factory Default (click )
Automatic multiple balls or bubbles = Checked
   OK

11  On your layers palette lower the opacity
on your new bubbles layer to about 30.
Lower to whatever opacity that will be
seen but easy to read text on.

12  Edit > Paste > Paste as New Layer

13  (M) Move Tool
Move your tube adjacent to the left side
and centered between the top and bottom.
It is a good idea to zoom in to 100% to
make this easier and more accurate.
View > Zoom > Zoom to 100%

14  Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow
Settings:
Vertical = 0, Horizontal = 3
