Graphic with non-solid colored
area's
around
the outer edges.
The focal
point of the graphic should
be in the
sections that will not be cut
away.. Look
again at the goal to see
what part is
going to be missing when
you do this
tut to help you decide.
It should be
pretty large and wider than
it is
taller.

1 Open the
template
3 Open
(Ctrl + N) a new transparent image
550x490
4 Ctrl + A
(Selections/Select All)
5 Ctrl + Shift + L
(Edit / Paste / Paste into Selection)
6 Ctrl +
D
(Selections
/ Select None)
7 Close the
original template
8 Magic
Wand
:
Settings:
Hold the
Shift key down and left click on all 3 black parts.
9 Open the
graphic that you want to
use.
10 Ctrl + C
(Edit
/ Copy)

Minimize or close your graphic
12 Effects / Distortion Effects / Polar
Coordinates
Settings:
Rectangular
to polar = Checked
Transparent
= Checked
OK

Flip

Shift + L
(Edit /
Paste / Paste into Selection)

(Selections/Promote Selection to Layer)
16 Effects / 3D Effects/ Drop Shadow
Settings:
Vertical = -14, Horizontal = -2
Opacity = 50, Blur = 5, Color = Black

17 Layers /
New Raster Layer

Shift + i
(Selections/Invert)

/ 3D Effects / Cutout
Settings:
Vertical and
Horizontal = 3
Opacity =
100, Blur = 20
Shadow color
= Black
Fill
interior = Unchecked
20 Ctrl + D
Selections /
Select None
21 Turn off
All the layers on your layers
palette
except for the bottom one that
has your
Template on it.
Make it your
active layer!
22 Magic
Wand : Select all 3 Black parts
holding the
Shift key down as you do.
23 Ctrl + Shift + L
(Edit / Paste / Paste into Selection)
24 Effects ..free style
Apply any effect you like here to
change the structure of the graphic.
Suggestions might be Effects/Texture Effects /
Antique Mosaic, or blinds or even
use a plugin effect that you like!
25 Effects / 3D Effects/ Drop Shadow
Settings:
Vertcal & Horizontal both = 5
Opacity = 50, Blur = 5, Color = Black
OK
26 Ctrl + D
(Selections
/ Select None)
27 Layers /
New Raster Layer
28 Layers /
Arrange / Send to Bottom
29 Turn all
your Layers back on in your
layers
palette.
30 Dropper
Tool
: Select a complimentary
color for
your background and fill the
bottom
layer.
Note: Too dark of a shade will
interfer
with the
drop shadow that you want
to be seen.
31 F (
Flood Fill Tool)
Settings:
Match Mode = None
Sample Merged = Checked
Blend Mode = Normal
Opacity = 100
Fill your
new background layer.
If you would
like to add any effect to
your
background layer it is up to you!
It looks
nice if it matches your intended
background
color!!!
32 This is
your last chance to make any
image
enhancements to any of the
layers such
as Adjust/Sharpen etc.
33 Layers /
Merge / Merge All
34 Add your
watermark
35 Save as
a jpg
Note: Another opportunity here
would
be to resize
your finished creation &
use it as
little icons to decorate your
sideborders.
Save as jpg
with a different name other
than the one
you have saved as your
frame ! LOL
Remember to
Watermark your creations!
