ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF SORTING JUNK MAIL

Thought it might be of some use to your Incredimail users.

This is a simple way to filter email in a similar way to the Junk and Unapproved Folder that Incredimail has had until Build 2040.

Most of you will have set up plenty of message rules for your group emails. This will work in the same way, but will put all unapproved mail into a separate folder.

Firstly with your Incredimail program open:

1. Click on Tools and then Message Rules.
2. Click Add

3. On the first line where it says "If" Scroll down to the second last option and click on Received from unapproved sender

4. On the second line where it says "then" scroll down and click Move it to

5. Click the browse button

6. Click new folder and where is says Insert a new folder name type a name. I called mine Unapproved, but you can call it whatever you want (eg: Junk)

8. This will create a new folder as you can see in the picture below.

9. Click OK.

You have to make sure that at all times this rule is at the bottom of the list so any other rules are applied first. Now what happens is that anyone not in your address book and is not covered by existing rules above this one, will go into the new (unapproved) folder.

This should to all intents and purposes work in almost the exact way that the Junk and Unapproved Folder worked before. The only difference will be that you can't just right click an email and add to approved senders. You will have to either create a new rule for that person or add them manually to your address book.

I hope this will help all you Incredimail users that wish to upgrade to newer builds but do not wish to pay for the Junk Plus Filter.
