Answers to your FAQnA's from Hooty and friends!
.
Yes I truly believe that Yahoo
shut down 3 of my groups because of this.
All 3 of the groups were classes
and we had them attaching
their lessons and results which
of course blocked most of
the ads. Bing Bing Bing....
within 2 days I had lost all 3 of them.
Fortunately I had saved the
membership and just started them up again ..but had to
replenish all the info, links, file
section for their downloads and
took me about 2 weeks
to get most of the members back
in and the groups running
again..
In other words, I believe that
if a few do that in your group
messages .. yahoo will allow room
for error.. if a lot of them
are doing that and Yahoo checks
you out they will shut
your group down like they did
me.. without warning, notice
and will not reply to your
requests to find out why you were
shut down.
Hope that helps.
Hooty.. keep your group
membership up to date at least
every month.. do it again.
Here is a response I got back when I asked
them about this....

best answer to your question:
Why does Yahoo shut down Yahoo groups without warning
or explanation to the group owners?
is from Jane Furrows:
Sorry, but if you want to use web services, it is your obligation to
understand and obey all the rules stated in the terms of service. I have
found most of them pretty easy to understand if you just take the time to
read them, which can be very important to do.
Thanks for using Yahoo! Answers.
Members, somehow I do not feel any better about them
doing us like that at times.. grrrrrr lol
